SAN GIORGIO , THE RED SALE, NOV 22ND

The sale of San Giorgio Italy on Nov 22nd is dedicated to an exceptional collection of orders and decorations of the USSR from 1917 to 1991. The sale includes caps and uniform pieces belonging to Stalin, Brezhnev and the cosmonaut Vladimir Shatalov.

Among the awards in the sale are Orders of the Red Banner of Lenin, Kutuzov and others. Rare pieces from the former soviet block include awards from Poland, the DDR and others. A rare award star, Hero of the Palestinian Liberation, is also in the sale.

Edged weapons in the sale include a Soviet Air Force presentation dagger to Marshall Voroshilof.

HESSINK, ARMS AND ARMOUR, DEC 6TH

Hessink Auction house in Nijmegen Holland are holding a sale of arms and amour on December 6th and 7th. The sale includes a selection of fine Dutch and German 17th century wheel lock pistols and other arms.

Pictured are some of the lots in the sale including an attractive Chaffron horse armour.

Also included in the sale a fine early European edged rapiers and an executioners sword.

SWORDER OLIVER, ARMS AND ARMOUR, NOV 18TH

This fine pair of Purdey sidelocks made in 1882 (est. 15000-25000 Stg) are highlights of Oliver's upcoming sale of arms, armour and militaria.

Also featured among the sporting arms are early cased rifles by Purdey and Lang.

JC DEVINE, FIREARMS AND EDGED WEAPONS, DEC 7TH

This auction will include a selection of fine antique and modern pistols, rifles, revolvers and shotguns, including semi-automatic Wilsons and Colts and desirable Remington single shot rifles. There are also a number of good swords, medals, and militaria.

This Belgian Browning shotgun (est. $10000-$12500) features exquisite engraving and inlays.

KULL & SUPICA, LIVE FIREARMS, NOV 20TH-22ND

This three-day auction will feature a plethora of guns, blades and miscellaneous militaria, including art, books, a shooting gallery and even some motorcycles. Firearms include this Colt with an interesting provenance, which is estimated at $5000-$7500.
