CZERNY'S, FINE ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOUR, JUNE 2ND-3RD | | Czerny's upcoming auction in Sarzana, Italy will include militaria, orders, helmets and other pieces of armour, Far Eastern weapons, hunting daggers, pole arms, crossbows, American guns, Oceanic armour, and the Dr. Posa collection of edged weapons and firearms, among other items. Items of special note include a pair of black and white gauntlets from 16th century Southern Germany; a senior officer's sabre from early 19th century France; a very rare katar combined with two pistols from 18th century India; a bat-winged corseque from 16th century Italy; a silver mounted kaskara from 19th century Oman; a wheellock rifle from early 18th century Germany; and this very rare sword of the "Grenadiers à cheval de la Garde Impériale" circa 1800, featuring a single and false-edged blade and estimated to bring upwards of 6,000 Euro. LANDSHUTER RUESTKAMMER, ARMS, ARMOUR, MILITARIA, AND ORDERS, MAY 18TH | | Pictured is a group of 19th century German swords from the Gerhard J. Seifert collection of historic edged weapons, which will be featured in Part 1 of Landshuter Ruestkammer's upcoming arms and armour auction. Part II will include a broad variety of rare and desirable items including orders and decorations; Third Reich headgear; sabers, swords, daggers and bayonets from France, Austria, and Italy; hunting firearms; pole arms from 1500 and later; suits of armour, and Eastern firearms and edged weapons from Persia, India, Indonesia, and the Ottoman Empire. STOCKHOLMS AUKTIONSVERK, WEAPONS, MAY 24TH | | Stockholms Auktionsverk's upcoming online auction will feature 170 lots of weapons, including a daisho with figures in gold and copper; a Swedish flintlock signed M Giotter (1732-1792); a 17th century rapier with basket hilt and openwork decoration; a Belgian pepperbox revolver stamped Mariette Brevete; a ceremonial 5-point star circa 1900; a Swedish Polar Star in 18k gold; a 33cm naginata; and this pair of Bohemian flintlock pistols signed Paul Poser (1646-1730) with beautiful decoration in silver and gold and estimated to bring 50 000 SEK. LITTLE JOHN'S AUCTION SERVICE, FIREARMS AUCTION, MAY 23RD-24TH | | This engraved Colt Dragoon, on the auction block at Little John's upcoming sale, is considered by experts to be the best condition example remaining of the 12 known specimens. A 44 cal. percussion firearm with extra-fine cloud scroll engraving attributed to Gustave Young, it is cased with accessories and shows 95-98% bright original blue finish on the barrel. Among the most desirable Colts in existence, it is estimated to bring upwards of $800,000. Other lots of special note include a Winchester Model 1876 one of one thousand lever action rifle; an important and museum quality pair of Revolutionary War flintlock pistols by J. Walsh of Philadelphia, formerly in Charles DuPont collection; an ultra-rare F. W. Freund, maker, Cheyenne, Wyoming marked double rifle with extra shotgun barrels, nicely engraved and gold inlaid with high grade checkered select walnut stocks and leather carrying case with accessories; a magnificent Rizzini 28ga side by side model R2 best quality boxlock shotgun ornately engraved and signed by “Glauciui”; and a Marlin Model 1895 special order deluxe rifle. MILITARIA.CO.NZ, MILITARIA AUCTION, MAY 19TH-20TH | | This 120 bore cased Beaumont Adams Percussion revolver retailed by J. Blissett is one of over 1700 fine lots in Militaria.co.nz's upcoming sale. Featuring metalwork with approximately 90% finish, an excellent walnut grip with crisp chequering, and the original oak case containing a Dixon and Sons flask, a pewter oil bottle, an ebony handled cleaning rod, a twin cavity brass bullet mould, and a cap tin, it is estimated to bring $2500-$3500. Other lots of special note include a cased pair of I. Bullied flintlock overcoat pistols; a 12 gauge CF cartridge combination reloading machine; a 12 gauge Imperial Arms Guy Liege side by side top lever hammer gun; a German S.A. dagger and scabbard; a Ross 1905 Model R sporting rifle; a Victorian sword cane; a WWI Caucasian kindjal; a WWII Engineers folding chainsaw in its leather belt pouch; and a bag of excavated relics from Gettysburg Battlefield.
